A local full-service metal manufacturer in Kent, WA is looking to add to its ever-growing team! If you have experience as a Payroll Specialist or are looking to expand your skill set in payroll data, this opportunity is worth learning about!
This century old company sets the standard for customer service, and it continues to be the driving force behind the company's success. The Payroll Specialist would be joining an established team, where there are opportunities to support over 200 employees. In this role you would be responsible for generating, processing, and entering weekly payroll data, auditing, calculating adjustments and preparing various reports.
This is a temp-to-hire, on site opportunity in Kent, WA.
In This Payroll Specialist Role, You Will
- Balance employee time calculations and enter data into the computer daily.
- Audit attendance daily for time and attendance and maintain database and files for the payroll system.
- Prepare and balance bi-weekly payroll reports.
- Schedule payments of various deductions to appropriate agencies such as OSE, 401k, garnishments etc.
- Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing procedures.
- Answer employee payroll questions.
- Additional tasks as requested by Payroll Supervisor.
You will excel in this Payroll Specialist role if you are detail oriented, have experience with PC worksheet and automated time collection system.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Payroll Specialist Requirements
- 2+ years Payroll experience
- Excellent data entry, 10 key skills, and math skills.
- Computer savvy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Pay: $21-25/ hr DOE
