Chief Human Resource Officer
An exciting opportunity to join the Executive Team of a progressive YMCA association located in vibrant Somerset County, New Jersey. Greater Somerset County YMCA (GSCY), is a growth-oriented, nonprofit organization. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, GSCY has demonstrated resiliency and sustained its mission by strengthening the community through vital services that addressed food insecurity, learning loss, vaccine access, blood shortages, unemployment challenges, and more. Despite the obstacles that our organization faced related to the pandemic, our mission-based initiatives were supported through contributory income from donors and grantors and we continue to welcome back members, eclipsing 80% of pre-pandemic numbers. Additionally, working toward our strategic goal of growing our organization and deepening our mission impact, we recently completed a merger with Princeton Family YMCA and expanded programs in other underserved communities. GSCY has six branches and is projecting staffing and operations to return to pre-pandemic levels in 2023 to 100 full-time and 950 part-time employees along with operating revenues to $22+ million. The Y is a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by connecting people to their purpose, potential, and each other. We serve the ever-evolving needs of Somerset County and surrounding communities. Our staff and volunteers are joined together by a shared commitment to nurture the potential of children, improve health and well-being, and foster a sense of social responsibility.
