The Americas Human Resources team at Campari Group is responsible for supporting the performance and growth of our people across the Americas (Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and USA) and developing a pool of talent for global opportunities.

As a member of the regional HR Lead Team, the Sr. Director, Reward, Mobility & Analytics, Americas will oversee the operation of the Americas region’s Compensation, Benefits, Mobility and HR Data activities through both directly and in partnership with country HR teams. The role will operate as the critical regional lynchpin for international mobility arrangements – for both incoming and outgoing employees – and will function as the center of expertise in the region for all Compensation, Benefits, Assignment and Data Management activities and systems/platform operations. The candidate will need to liaise regularly with country HR teams for the execution of remuneration activities and will work to ensure compliance with both our global processes and each country’s regulations through the development of appropriate governance structures.


The role will support the Regional VP HR Americas and the Head of Global Rewards in running Regional Rewards, Mobility and Data Management function, including the centralization of international mobility and job evaluation/market analysis support as a specialized area of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

International Mobility

  • Manage all aspects of international assignees (inpatriates and expatriates) including but not limited to: Market comparisons for roles; Development of net-to-gross assignment packages and letters; Relocation consulting support; Immigration services; Tax services including shadow payroll, annual tax filings, tax equalization and trailing liabilities; International health coverage; Maintain accurate records of all assignment data;
  • Liaise with Global Mobility team and key HR stakeholders;
  • Work closely with Local Payroll teams to ensure accuracy of payments and tax reporting;
  • Manage relocation, tax and immigration providers;
  • Ensure all assignee arrangements are consistent with Global Mobility practices

Compensation Process Management

  • Establish processes to ensure effective and appropriate governance and compliance of payroll activity, including segregation of authorities;
  • Support both Global and Local HRDs with all related annual salary review, bonus and equity processes in the region, ensuring all countries use established platforms and demonstrate alignment of merit recommendations with previously calibrated overall performance ratings;
  • Support the development & application of performance-based pay;
  • Support Regional HR and Finance heads in the planning of remuneration increases;

Market alignment & Job Evaluation

  • Manage the benchmark participation and analysis process across the region;
  • Develop and maintain awareness of market rates on key roles across countries, including specific market-related examination of high demand roles in each country;
  • Assist in the development of regional and country market positioning strategies to support effective attraction and retention plans;
  • Advise Regional and Local HR on general market dynamics and remuneration trends,
  • Support Local HR in the development of budget forecasts/assumption;
  • Educate HR across the region on the interpretation and use of job evaluations and market data;
  • Ensure roles are accurately and regularly graded using global job evaluation methodologies and are consistent global job architecture guidelines;
  • Conduct ad-hoc job evaluations on roles as required for new or modified positions

Incentive Management

  • Support and educate the Local HR teams and eligible participants on understanding the global variable pay programs (STI, SIP, MTI and LTI);
  • Oversee operation of variable pay programs in each country using global platforms to ensure on time and accurate set-up of objectives, proper use of platforms by all participants and compliance of global guidelines;
  • Oversee in-country processing of incentive payments to participating employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations;
  • Coordinate rollout communications and training on incentive programs as required;
  • Maintain oversight of participants across all countries in local, regional and global incentive programs;
  • Oversee annual communications on individual incentive program achievements via country HRDs

Systems Management & Reporting

  • Support and educate Local HR teams in the use of SuccessFactors and other related data/analytics responsibilities as internal subject matter expert;
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date master data in SAP and other systems;
  • Manage regular download/upload activities to ensure accurate, timely and standardized HR information for Global and Regional stakeholders;
  • Oversee Local Country preparation of monthly HR metrics reports, as well as any other reporting needs, within the region;
  • Liaise with key partners in IT and Global HR as required to ensure ongoing operation of master systems;
  • Support the implementation of new or enhanced SuccessFactors modules;
  • Support Labor Cost activities

About You:

You’ll bring protracted experience in a wide range of compensation, market-analysis and international mobility fields to the team and will provide thought leadership to HR and key business partners at both the tactical/operational and strategic levels of planning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Commerce/Business or Statistics preferred
  • Fluent English (written and verbal) - essential
  • Fluent Spanish (written and verbal) – preferred
  • Management and coordination of international assignees
  • Regional country exposure – USA plus at least one other major country
  • In-house work experience in Compensation and Benefit design and management - preferred
  • Exposure to European multinational matrix organizations - preferred
  • Solid experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis; experience in cross-country research, particularly survey design and analysis, and analytics and statistical modeling concepts – norms, percentiles and bands in salary/remuneration data;
  • Comfortable acting as an advisor, and able to influence, junior insights managers as well as senior marketing leaders;
  • Expert in use and interpretation of remuneration market data (Mercer and/or Hay);
  • Expert in the application of proprietary global Job Grading methodology (Mercer and/or Hay);
  • Ability to connect with wide range of HR and Business colleagues;
  • Excellent skill in Microsoft Office suite as well as other database tools;
  • Experienced in the coordination of International assignees;
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and principles of master data management;
  • Awareness of international tax principles;
  • Demonstrated success in managing small team of technical/professional specialists;
  • Ability to manage work performance and maintain ‘hands-on’ involvement
  • Demonstrated success in multi-national functional support;
  • Ability to operate in both functional/operational and strategic areas
  • Ability to work effectively across an organization with complex matrix relationships and different cultures;
