Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Talent Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in strategy/leadership, Learning and Development, and/or a consulting/client-facing role.
  • 5 years of experience in Talent Development and Executive Development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Leadership Development, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Talent Management, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience influencing, coaching, and engaging with executive leaders from diverse functional and technical backgrounds, as well as from underrepresented groups.
  • Experience in customized development planning for leaders.
  • Experience solving problems, thriving in ambiguity and change, and achieving goals.
  • Ability to create internal and external partnerships to support ongoing innovation in talent development strategy.
  • Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action.

About The Job

As a Talent Development Consultant (TDC), you will work with Google leaders to identify and prioritize development objectives and create customized development journeys to accelerate their leadership capability.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range $218,000 - $235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

  • Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an active portfolio of executive leader clients per year, with a focus on critical talent in Underrepresented Groups.
  • Serve as a trusted development consultant to clients by assessing needs, creating customized, impactful development journeys, and partnering with the broader system of talent to drive outcomes aligned to Google's global talent strategy and diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, co-create, and facilitate specific development experiences for individual leaders.
  • Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive, equitable solutions, including the identification of consistent development journey profiles for leaders facing similar challenges.
  • Be familiar with a suite of assessment tools to support effective and inclusive development recommendations.
