Job Function Details:
Duties
- Will be sole point of contact for HR functions. This position does not directly supervise
- Work with and coordinate HR support consultants-Payroll and Timesheets
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding and establish a standardized process
- Coordinate performance reviews-merit increases and equity
- Recruitment-collaborates with hiring managers for JD’s, job postings, and resume screening. Hiring Managers then own recruitment process from interview to offer
- HRIS experience. Nice to have is if they did an HRIS implementation
- Prepares and maintains accurate files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Ensures that company policies conform with federal, state, and local regulations
- Manages leave of absences
- Projects and implementations: DEI initiatives, benefits consulting, onboarding and offboarding

- MS Suite-MS Teams, Excel
- Zoom
- Intuit
- Quickbooks (Nice to have)
Requirements
- 3+ years of related Human Resource experience preferably in a nonprofit setting
- Experience being employee facing
- Employee Relations and CA Labor Law knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or additional years of HR professional experience
- The ability to research and source information to solve complex HR issues
- Broad knowledge of HR standards and best practices
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
