The Robert Half Healthcare Practice has partnered with a well-known healthcare company in the the Indiana area to secure a full-time Fully Remote HR Specialist who will be the first point of contact for associates and People Leaders who need assistance on understanding and applying policies and processes across all areas of HR. This candidate will need to have a strong understanding of HR policies, tools and resources.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8a--4:30p

Duration: Contract-to-hire

Main Duties

  • Provide consistent, timely and accurate responses to inquiries from Associates and People Leaders relating to Human Resources policies, processes, benefits, payroll, LOA and HR system navigation.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvements, training and overall efficiency of team operations.
  • Proactively document new processes or update missing steps process documents.
  • Provide critical input to the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies and processes across HR as we continue to scale.
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations teams to provide input in development of Workday enhancements to drive efficiency within the HR system.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert related to company policy and process interpretation and application.
  • When required, work cross functionally with HR Advisors, HR Business Leaders or COEs to resolve complex and/or sensitive associate issues.
  • Provide input and support towards the creation and rollout of various HR initiatives and projects.
  • Participate in ad hoc HR projects as directed by HR Manager

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Prior Human Resources experience (2+ years) is preferred.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to quickly learn HR process and procedures.
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • High level of written and verbal communication and the ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • Experience with conflict resolution and a highly empathetic and relatable communication style.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
