Summary

As an Equal Employment Manager in the NASA Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, provides advisory services and oversight on a wide range of complex EEO complaint matters. Exercises broad knowledge of civil rights law and precedent case-setting decisions governing federal complaint processing. The Equal Employment Manager plans, directs, and evaluates complaint program objectives under provisions of Public Law, Executive Orders, EEOC, MSPB, DOJ, and NASA regulations and directives.

Requirements

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Planning, managing, and evaluating Agency EEO complaints program and developing associated policies and procedures supporting continuous improvement in complaint program efficiency and effectiveness; Serving as a principal advisor to senior leaders providing advice on a broad range of administrative and programmatic matters, including multi-year strategic planning, resource management, and organizational performance; and Providing written and oral guidance, interpretation of federal civil rights and equal employment opportunity laws, regulations, policies and/or executive orders.
