Senior Employee Relations Specialist - Remote

Realogy is seeking an experienced Sr. Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources Department. As part of the Employee Experience Team, the selected individual will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise while addressing employee issues and concerns. Position is responsible for conducting investigations on a variety of employment matters from discrimination allegations to interpersonal conflicts. Additional responsibilities include analyzing data and consulting with HR and business partners on performance and other employment related matters.

As an ER Specialist at Realogy your job duties will include:

  • Implement, communicate and enforce the employee relations programs, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and fair application/enforcement of corporate policies across the organization.
  • Provide advice to HR Business Partners, Managers, and employees on employee relations issues that is consistent and aligned with corporate policy.
  • Conduct investigations, provide accurate and timely responses to concerns, and determine expedient solutions to ensure fairness and legal compliance.
  • Draft clear and meaningful documentation of findings at the conclusion of investigations for HR, senior leadership and legal counsel review.
  • Act to address a variety of people issues while effectively mitigating business and Company risk.
  • Partner with Performance Management team, Legal department, BU General Counsel and leadership to implement consistent and appropriate corrective and preventative actions as needed.
  • Partner with Ethics & Compliance on developing investigation protocols, processes, roles and responsibilities, continually looks for opportunities to streamline processes and follows all guidance in the execution of the role.
  • Work cooperatively with other HR Centers of Excellence to provide developmental training and coaching on ER techniques and corrective action and/or documentation and performance management to support continuing professional development.
  • Prepare reports, analyze trends, identify risk areas, and create and implement plans to address.
  • Keep abreast and maintain working knowledge of legal requirements at the state and federal levels; research legal issues as required.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of employee relations, policy and employment law best practice.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, including at least one (1) year of experience conducting investigations.

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of employment, wage and hour, FMLA, and EEO laws.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with appropriate guidance.
  • Ability to handle multiple, possibly conflicting priorities and to change focus quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong influencing, partnering, coaching and counseling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make presentations to small, medium and large groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload in a fast-paced environment.
