THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hint, one of the nation's fast-growing beverage companies, is looking for the next member of our People Team. The HR Manager, People & Programs is a critical role within the company because they will use their experience and knowledge of HR best practices, labor and compliance laws/regulations (we're in 27 states!), and strong people and systems skills to support our current and future people programs.

We are looking for someone who has an innate passion for building and supporting company culture, a knack for systems and organization and proven experience in executing HR programs and managing internal systems. 

You know how to get the work done and can pivot between larger-scale projects and smaller, tactical employee-relation needs. You are highly organized detail-oriented, great written and oral communication skills. You thrive to work in a fast-paced environment and are personable and approachable.

The role will report directly to our VP of People and Talent, but partner closely with all teams across the organization.

This is a remote position with the occasional visit to the SF office.

WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:

  • Assist with all people operations which will include benefits, retention, workers compensation, and compensation needs.
  • Provide support and input to management regarding employee relations issues from coaching to corrective action.
  • Take the lead in maintaining policies and processes, where needed craft updated ones, to ensure compliance with regional, state, and federal laws and regulations to support a distributed workforce.
  • Oversee the management and administration of company benefits including leading annual open enrollment in partnership with the Associate HR Generalist.
  • Manage all Leave of Absences and work closely with payroll to ensure they are smooth and stress-free
  • Manage training programs for salespeople and new hires.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Help build a culture in a dispersed workforce.

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, however relevant experience will be considered
  • 7+ years of applicable HR experience, with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, compliance, and benefits.
  • Experience at a CPG or E-commerce company with over 100 employees across multiple states.
  • You have proven experience with taking action towards DEIB initiatives.
  • Experience working with and maintaining Paylocity, Maxwell, and Empower - nice to have
  • Some experience with compensation benchmarking and programs - nice to have
  • Must have a proven high level of discretion
  • A self-starter who can take a project and run with it
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and statutes for employment
  • Strong demonstrated professionalism, compassion, judgment, and tact - not necessarily in that order
