The TDR Division of Tetra Tech believes our people are our greatest asset and are seeking a Human Resources Engagement Specialist to work our Maitland, FL office and support the TDR Operation.As the Human Resources Engagement Specialist, you will be the first HR contact with all new hires entering the TDR Division. This position will drive engagement and promote retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops methods for measuring and assessing employee engagement
  • Develops communication strategies that give employees a voice
  • Conducts a review of management practices and their impact on the employee experience
  • Develops proactive well-being strategies for the organization in order to promote physical and mental well-being
  • Assess the impact of personnel practices and policies on the employee experience
  • Partners with the Human Resources Manager and Employee Relation Specialist to address and resolve employee relations matters.
  • Works hand in hand with Human Resources and Management to manage and promote the company's culture and engagement

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conducts New Hire Orientation to welcome new employees to the TDR Team and provide valuable information to ensure their continued success
  • Conducts 30- and 90-day check-ins with new hires and make recommendation to management based on the obtained data.
  • Assists new hires with new hire documentation and onboarding
  • Ensures that all employees have received and completed all required corporate training
  • Manages the annual performance appraisals process for employees
  • Conducts exit interviews, assess data and make recommendations to HR leadership and senior leadership to improve and enhance engagement strategies
  • Responds to voice mails left by employees on the TDR HR Hotline
  • Responds to unemployment claims from departing staff
  • Processes personnel changes, such as supervisor and pay rate changes, maintain an up to date HRIS system with accurate data
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

To Qualify, Candidates Must Have

  • At least five (5) years of experience in Human Resources in a corporate setting, including at least two years in employee relations and/or three years in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Two years company event planning experience preferred.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to multitask in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • Have strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate initiative and build productive relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Have experience with employee survey methods and approaches for listening to employees.
  • Well-developed team building and influence skills, as well as the experience and confidence to address sensitive people issues directly and effectively.
