In This Role You Will

  • Own and drive the full portfolio of work across the executive talent experience including executive assessments, succession planning and development, senior-level promotions, executive talent reviews, and board-level reporting.
  • Understand and translate organizational needs into a succession strategy and plan for the company aligned with the Leadership Development agenda.
  • Partner with Talent and HR Business Partners to drive executive succession discussions and enable high-value talent moves throughout the year with the most senior business executives.
  • Be accountable for the quality and effectiveness of the executive succession processes (Succession plans, development of talent pools, senior talent movement, quality of talent profiles, leadership capability).
  • Lead the application of rigorous diagnostic frameworks and data-based assessment techniques to generate succession and movement insights, which in turn influence areas of focus, actions and decisions.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and to share a powerful narrative with key stakeholders on progress, outcomes and risks in executive talent management.
  • Stay informed on the latest thinking on succession management and executive talent management and bring practices to Atlassian, to increase the impact of our own strategies and processes.
  • Lead and grow a team of Talent Specialists

To Keep Pace With Atlassian's Lightning-speed, You'll Need The Following

This is a visible, high-impact role with a number of critical stakeholders.

  • At least 15+ years of Talent Management, plus experience being a trusted advisor to the business to accelerate leadership and organizational effectiveness
  • Deep knowledge of the application of assessments with 5-7 years of experience interpreting assessment results and providing feedback to stakeholders
  • Strong program management expertise with solid experience creating innovative and connected career development strategies that enable a team-based, global workforce
  • Highly collaborative approach with the ability to quickly build strong and trusted relationships across all different levels and business functions
  • Customer mindset with the ability to set a strategic vision and drive large-scale programs to deliver on that vision
  • Energy to get things done and willingness to jump from strategy to development to change management, and back again!
  • Strong people manager capability, with experience leading talented and highly driven team members
  • Excellent business storytelling skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to translate “HR speak” and data insights into an accessible narrative
  • Genuine and authentic nature that quickly earns trust with leaders; ability to work with senior leaders and executive team
  • Desired Qualifications: Masters level IO Psych degree or equivalent experience
