Position Title: Analyst, Employee Relations

Reports To: Sr. Labor & Employment Counsel
Job Summary
The Employee Relations Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the Newell Brands global Labor & Employment Legal and Employee Relations processes and compliance. This role is accountable for employee relations projects, and for the day-to-day execution associated with the company’s employee relations initiatives.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with employee relations team, legal and HR business partners, assist with drafting all-employee and HR business partner communications.
- Collect, manage and analyze data, and conduct external research to support recommendations for continuous improvement
- Assist with facilitation of meetings, focus groups, and other working groups.
- Manage and implement processes for maintenance and updates to Company policies, guidelines and checklists
- Review and provide input on L&E Legal and employee relations team work products with exceptional attention to detail
- Recommend education solutions to improve awareness of Code of Conduct, policy and other ER related matters.
- Partner with counsel to prepare for and when necessary attend mediations, arbitration, and other court proceedings
- Assist with development of needs assessment process for training initiatives.
- Responsible for monthly/quarterly analytics.
- Assists with best practices content for monthly HRBP Roundtable and other employee relations action plans.
- Assists with special projects and preforms other duties as needed.
Key Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Experience with developing written communications and/or creating presentations
- Partnership and collaboration skills – e.g., asking clarifying questions, contributing ideas, challenging and promoting thinking, communicating clearly and effectively
- Flexibility to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic, “start-up” type culture, and adapt to changes with agility
- Organized and high personal accountability for results
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint; experience working in SAP SuccessFactors or related HR systems a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive, trusted, and influential relationships with HR business partners, business teams, and peers across business units
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, possibly conflicting priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in business or HR-related field
- 2 years experience in corporate environment; HR data experience a plus
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; Success Factors or related HR systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail- the ability to edit, proofread, and format written documents and PowerPoint presentations
- Project management experience a plus
