Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in research at an executive search firm, management consulting experience in an HR related field, or recruiting experience within a corporate environment.
  • Experience creating and owning search strategies, mapping markets, gleaning industry insights and being an advocate of process and data quality.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Learning agility to get up to speed quickly on new markets and to run a thorough search process, including candidate research, outreach, engagement, evaluation and presentation while displaying a high level of personal accountability, integrity and authenticity.
  • Collaborative team player, with a track record of maximizing team as well as individual performance.
  • Deep interest in technology.

About The Job

The Consumer Leadership Recruiting team at Google is a focused group who are responsible for hiring at the Leadership level (Director and VP) across Ads, Search, Geo, YouTube, Commerce and Payments. Our work is focused on critical leadership roles that will have a direct impact on the future of these businesses and Google.

As a Researcher on the Core Computing Executive Recruiting team, you'll focus on finding and hiring leadership talent who will help build, deliver, and drive our innovative technologies and services. You will play the role of a talent scout, tapping into various tools and resources to uncover the best talent in the market and matching them with the roles to which they are best aligned.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $113,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

  • Research and cultivate relationships with Search leadership talent. Work across the broader consumer product portfolio (e.g., Search, Geo, Payments, Commerce and YouTube).
  • Partner with senior leaders on high-profile leadership hires, advising on search strategy and ideal candidate profile.
  • Source candidates, both internally and externally, and benchmarking.
  • Build proactive relationships with passive candidates to engage them over the long term.
  • Innovate to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our systems and processes - not just incremental improvements, but challenging the status quo that fundamentally changes how we do business.
