Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in executing recruiting research at an executive search firm, management consulting firm, or in-house corporate environment.
  • Experience creating search strategies, mapping markets, gleaning industry insights, and advocating for process and data quality.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working within the technology sector.
  • Collaborative team player, with experience maximizing individual and team performance.
  • High-level of personal accountability, integrity, and authenticity.

As a Researcher on the YouTube Executive Recruiting team, you will focus on finding and hiring leadership talent who will help build, deliver, and drive our innovative technologies and services. You will play the role of a talent scout, tapping into various tools and resources to uncover the best talent in the market and matching them with the roles to which they are best aligned. We are seeking creative, analytical, and resourceful individuals with a passion for research and developing relationships who have the ability to listen and understand the goals of candidates and our hiring teams.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $113,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

  • Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.


  • Partner with executive recruiters, own and drive research and sourcing efforts for executive-level searches for YouTube, and work across various tech and non-tech functional areas (engineering, product management, partnerships).
  • Work closely with Director and VP-level hiring managers, advising them on search strategies, ideal candidate profiles, candidate pipelines, search processes, and industry insights.
  • Develop candidates and candidate slates for active searches, as well as engage passive candidates to build relationships over the longer term.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in YouTube and grow and evolve knowledge of external market dynamics and talent trends.
