Summary:

We provide interim, fractional, and project-based HR support to our clients to assist with a broad range of needs from strategy to functional, transactional support. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting clients both reactively and proactively with their HR needs as a dedicated, trusted advisor. We are a small, agile organization, so there is a significant opportunity for a driven individual to step into this position and truly make it their own.

Job Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Providing strategic and functional HR support to clients on an interim, fractional, or project basis.
  • Performing audits (HR function, processes, compliance, compensation) and developing reports of findings.
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing employment documentation (handbooks, policies, offer letter, etc.) for applicability and compliance. Ability to update, amend, develop, maintain a variety of HR documentation for clients.
  • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, law, standards, regulations, best practices, areas of concern effectively to a wide range of individuals.
  • Supporting the improvement/development of internal HR processes and procedures for clients (which may include: timekeeping, payroll, benefits, recordkeeping, onboarding/offboarding, performance reviews, etc.).
  • Provide client management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
  • Advise/support the development and implementation of recruiting or retention programs.
  • Assisting clients with specific questions which may include best practices, compliance, employee relations, or other types of issue-based advisement (including harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns).
  • Provide ongoing support to company HR service needs as they arise.
  • Assisting clients with additional HR needs as they arise.

Experience:

  • Experience in a variety of HR disciplines serving as a trusted advisor
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Certification as a PHR, SPR, GPHR, SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP or willingness and ability to obtain within six months of hire as contingency of ongoing employment
  • 3+ years in human resources, experience in an HR consulting capacity/organization a plus
  • Solid foundation of HR best practices and employment law
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Requirements:

  • Strong ability utilizing PC and software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite, VOIP interfaces (Zoom, RingCentral), applicant tracking systems (Crelate), project management tools (Basecamp), time tracking (Toggl), and LinkedIn.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and standard of behavior in and outside of the workplace.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of federal and state regulations (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, WC, HIPPA, Title VII, etc.).

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to legally work in the US
  • Ability to travel if needed (occasionally)

Work Environment:

This position is offered as a fully-remote position with standing meetings/workdays available at a coworking space in Denver, CO. Applicant must possess a functional home working environment for themselves which entails a strong, reliable internet connection and relatively quiet space with few distractions. From time to time, clients and events will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.

Physical Demands:

In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individual might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individual might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.

Position Type & Working Hours:

This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday. Flextime schedules will be considered for employees that desire alternative working schedules. Flextime schedules are contingent on the ongoing satisfactory performance of employee. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees may occasionally be expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.

Travel:

Occasional travel to remote locations will be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to Client office locations. Additionally, travel for internal meetings, retreats, conferences, or events may be required.

Compensation:

Compensation for this position is dependent on experience. Our compensation budgeted range for this position per annum is $65,000.00 - $95,000.00. In addition, this role is eligible for performance bonuses.
