POSITION: Vice President, Human Resources

Our client is an information technology firm based in central Ohio where growth yields opportunity for a VP of Human Resources. Success in this newly created role will be in an individual's ability to elevate the effectiveness of the human resource function as it relates to onboarding, employee relations, resource planning, etc., and to help enhance the brand to make the firm a premier employment destination for the top talent in their industry.

From a day to day perspective, the VP of HR will be responsible for all aspects of human resources to include recruiting, employee onboarding, benefits administration, immigration, employee contracts, performance management, employee gifts, celebrations, etc. As part of the leadership team, this person will work closely with leaders throughout the firm to evaluate employee programs, recommend improvements to employee relations policies, and ensure sure that all employee-related policies align with business goals and are in compliance with established regulations. This position reports to the CFO.


  • Lead and manage HR staff
  • Enhance / streamline / improve HR related processes throughout the organization:
  • Onboarding
  • Compensation and incentive programs
  • Resource planning
  • Performance evaluation / employee development
  • etc,
  • Develop / implement measures for employee engagement and morale, and develop programs to enhance
  • Act as liaison between the company and outside legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations
  • Manage the immigration process to ensure compliance and file all required documents for OPT, H1B and green cards when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with 401k regulations.

  • Prioritizes responsibilities and manages multi responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to manage direct reports and to mentor and grow their careers.
  • Must be proficient in Workday HCM.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
  • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.

Education / Experience / Other

  • Bachelor’ Degree in Human Resources or related business field
  • 10+ years’ experience in a human resources management position
  • SHRM certified
  • Proficient in Workday HCM
  • While this position is remote / work from home, the preference is for individuals located within an easy drive or easy flight to central Ohio for periodic management / leadership meetings and events.
