About the job

The Compensation & Benefit Analyst will be a critical role to help us continue to evolve our Total Rewards team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, the candidate will support all activities associated with our compensation programs for all employees across our business. Participates in surveys, benchmarks jobs, delivers reporting and insights, and helps to ensure compensation programs are compliant and competitive. Participates in the development of recommendations regarding compensation plan changes. Supports the annual company-wide merit review process. The role will also engage in analysis of the benefit expenses related to health & welfare plans and other HR areas as needed.


Compensation & Benefits Consulting

  • Provides the highest level of service to all internal and external partners.
  • Responds to basic compensation policies and practices inquiries.
  • Supports and facilitates strong collaboration within the Finance and Human Resources teams.
  • Seen as a collaborator and advisor to the business as well as HR Partners in the analysis and administration of compensation programs, to include analyzing and communicating pay administration programs.
  • May support internal and external offer recommendations.
  • Partners with Manager, HR Operations regarding benefit expenses and analysis.


  • Conducts and participates in local and national compensation surveys.
  • Analyze job content to determine FLSA exemption status and job pay grades based upon the market pricing of the role, while analyzing internal peers and external market competitiveness.
  • Assists with the annual review of pay structure changes and provides recommendations for changes based on market and internal analysis for various areas of the business.
  • Supports administration of the benchmarking system.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Responsible for regular metrics, reporting, and analytics for various functions within Total Rewards including, compensation, benefits and talent acquisition.
  • Supports ad hoc analysis and reporting for HR partners as requested for area of responsibility.

Compensation Administration

  • Assists with the administration of the annual merit processes.
  • Participates in the development and administration of the sales compensation plans.
  • Engages in both short term and long-term incentive reviews and analysis as needed.
  • Assists in the creation, documentation, maintenance, and administration of compensation policies and procedures.
  • Participates in HR team projects as needed.

What you should show up ready to teach anyone on your first day:

Your knowledge of basic compensation administration processes around job evaluation and grading and familiarity with external benchmarking tools.

Within your first month, you’ll:

Have a good understanding of the job role hierarchy within our business and be able to provide feedback on potential updates to job descriptions for benchmarking practices.

Within your first year, you’ll:

Continue strong relationships with Finance partners and be involved in all aspects of compensation analysis and planning to continue to support the growth of the business.


  • Bachelor's degree (HR, business, finance, accounting) or related experience.
  • 2 to 4 years related work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • ADP WFN experience a plus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
