Principal is looking for a HR Business Partner Consultant! As an HR Business Partner Consultant, this position will consult on key programs and initiatives that impact HR and the business units. You will work closely with Sr. Business Leaders, HR Business Partners, and HR Project Managers along with various HR teams to deliver business outcomes with concurrent projects of varying size, duration and complexity.

Examples Of Things You'll Do

  • Brings understanding of the business to partner with business areas, act as a strategic partner, participate as a member of leadership teams for assigned business partners and align business and human resource strategies.
  • Use understanding of the business strategy and internal/external environment to meet business objectives. Create a plan and execute initiatives like succession planning, critical talent, overall retention and diversity as well as broader initiatives such as operating model changes, culture, organizational capabilities, etc.
  • Partner with Sr. HRBPs and Head of HRBP to develop and execute upon a talent management strategy for the business including plans/execution around critical roles, succession, retention, and diversity.
  • Strategically partner with leaders, providing them coaching, guidance and opportunities to accelerate the work of the business.
  • Facilitate relationships and resources for the business to meet talent needs, estimating time and cost while providing information to prioritize needs across the enterprise.
  • Integrate HR deliverables in order to provide effective business solutions.
  • Utilize analytics to consult on strategic and operational business discussions to influence talent decisions and outcomes.
  • Critical problem solving to define need and potential solutions.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 4 or more years experience in HR, including experience in strategy/planning, compensation, development, talent management, and leadership
  • Understanding of line of business and related industry and broad understanding of business unit required
  • Must be able to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders
  • Strong organizational/project management skills; strategic thinking/planning and decision-making skills with high level of diagnostic and analytical skills required
  • Good communication, facilitation and presentation skills required

Work Environments

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
