El Centro del Barrio d.b.a. CentroMed is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides healthcare for all populations across the greater San Antonio area.

Founded in 1971 by CEO and President Ernesto Gomez, PHD, CentroMed has grown from a community based program focused on providing culturally competent care for undeserved populations, to a network of high quality healthcare clinics across San Antonio and New Braunfels providing full service health and dental care to all populations, regardless of income limitations.

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at our South Side Clinic location for the newly created Director of Recruiting and Training.

Job Summary:

The Director of Recruiting and Training is responsible for overseeing all aspects of CentroMed's full cycle talent acquisition including sourcing and recruiting talent for open positions and developing talent acquisition pipelines. Works with AVP of HR to create vision and strategy for CentroMed Recruiting efforts that align with the mission of the company. The Director of Recruiting and Training is also responsible for assessing both departmental and organizational training needs and working with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement trainings and programs that help increase productivity and improve retention. Distribution of duties will be 80% Recruiting and 20% Training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruiting

A. Oversees development and execution of strategic recruiting plans based on the staffing needs of the organization and in alignment with CentroMed’s mission and vision as well as industry standards.

B. Works with the AVP of HR to develop consistent and best in class Talent Acquisition procedures to maximize efficiency of organizational recruiting efforts and maximize candidate value for hiring managers.

C. Manages the Recruiting team and guides on best practices and ensures alignment with strategic vision of the department and organization.

D. Collaborates with department managers and relevant stakeholders to identify and draft detailed and accurate job postings and candidate profiles.

E. Builds talent pipelines for the organization by partnering with universities, staffing agencies, trade schools, job fairs, industry-based organizations and other talent sources to ensure full staffing of all CentroMed clinics.

F. Responsible for filling senior level positions and assisting with the recruitment of Physicians.

G. Oversees all online talent acquisition efforts including job postings on CentroMed website, intranet site, job boards and LinkedIn. Ensures online postings are efficient, meeting targeted visibility and are promptly removed when positions are filled.

H. Oversees screening of applications, selecting qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with the hiring managers.

I. Directs scheduling of interviews and ensures successful candidate experience including: working with hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, helping compose interview questions that will identify top performers while being legally compliant, and ensuring candidates show up to scheduled interview locations on time.

J. Collaborates with the hiring manager and the HR Director during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.

K. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

L. Provides exceptional customer service to all CentroMed employees and external stakeholders.

Trainer

M. Reviews all departmental trainings both computer based and in person, for efficiency and relevance. Offers solutions for improvement and relevance and works to modernize trainings in accordance with industry standards.

N. Works with internal stakeholders to conduct annual training and development needs assessment. Ensures trainings and materials are legally compliant and relevant to the desired outcomes and tracks metrics to analyze efficiency of trainings.

O. Using data and best practices develops and implements trainings both within the HR department and across the organization to deliver quality compliance and skill-based training for CentroMed employees.

P. Works with the AVP of HR to engage CentoMed leaders across the organization and develop trainings based on need and identified skill and knowledge gaps.

Q. The duties and responsibilities listed above are general essential functions that represent the nature and level of work assigned and is not necessarily all-inclusive.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education or related field required. Masters Degree in relevant field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum five (5) years in Human Resources, with a focus on Recruiting/Talent Acquisition and/or training required.

Demonstrated experience in developing and leading high-quality trainings required.

Experience leading a team highly preferred.

Experience in high volume staffing strongly preferred.

Previous experience in healthcare preferred.

Other:

HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
