What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • The primary objective of this position is to manage the health programs extended to our US-based employees. You will be accountable for day-to-day activities associated with the end-to-end experience offered by each associated plan.
  • Within the first 6 months, you will need to become keenly aware of the plans under your management, as well as the related internal stakeholder and associated external provider and consultant resources. You should also develop an understanding of our demographic mix, as well as our objectives to support DEI and Future of Work considerations through the benefits experience.
  • Over the course of the first full year, it is expected that you will actively and independently contribute to ensuring the programs are promoted and supported, as needed. As well, it is anticipated that you'll be positioned to contribute to future-thinking of what and how the programs might deliver improved value through factors such as, but not limited to, contract, administrative, and operational processes.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a member of the AMER Benefits team you will:

  • Manage our US healthcare program including the full suite of companion plans and point solutions
  • Analyze existing programs, experiences & processes for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Actively and proactively engage and execute with external vendor and consultant partners
  • Assess performance in support of ongoing strategic actions to support optimized offerings
  • Liaise with internal, companion stakeholder communities for maximized engagement and operations
  • Lead communications efforts to inform, educate & enlighten so the employee value proposition is realized
  • Take part in peer connections to receive information on emerging trends, as well as to knowledge share
  • Support all related compliance needs including audits, filings, documents, design & operational set-up

The hiring manager for this role is Catina Whitley, Director, Americas Benefits.

She appreciates a creative, self-motivated approach, as well as those who embrace challenging the status quo to improve upon the offerings, experiences and relationships our programs offer and rely upon for optimal functionality.

As a member of the AMER Benefits team, you will become part of the US-focused core team of 3 located in Georgia and Texas; additionally, there are 4 additional teammates residing in Canada, Chile and Costa Rica holding responsibility for the remaining AMER region country programs.

Our team works flexible hours often modifying schedules to accommodate collaborative connections with supporting resources based in other countries around the globe.

Where is this role located?

Remote: This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable. You will be expected to live within 0-4 time zones of the primary location.
